1. Locate where WinBidProCAD.exe is saved.
a. Open Windows Explorer (click yellow folder in taskbar)
b. In the bar where the path is, type %localappdata% hit Enter
c. Scroll down and double-click on the WinBidPro folder. You should see WinBidProCAD.exe
d. Click in the bar with the path to highlight it, then hit CTRL+C to copy the path.
2. Locate any .dwg file so we can change the program associated with it to open with WinBidProCAD.exe
a. Go back to Windows Explorer
b. Go to the C:\WinBidPro folder.
c. Locate any Vendor, then go to the "Vendor Details" folder
d. Find a .dwg file in any subfolder and "right-click" on one, select "Open With" then select "Choose Another App"
e. Make sure there is a checkmark in "Always use this app to open .dwg files"
f. Click on "Look for another app on this PC"
g. When the window opens, click in the File name box and hit CTRL+P to paste in the path you copied earlier
h. At the end of that path, type \WinBidProCAD.exe, then click "Open"
This will open the CAD software, now when you go back to WinBidPro, the CAD should work properly
If it still doesn't open, rerun the WinBidPro installer and it should pick up the new CAD association.
